Going out to grocery stores/coffee shops etc. with the sole purpose of picking up girls.

I just got out of a relationship and though i️ don’t really feel lonely without my ex, I do want to have someone to talk to whatever about. I’ve never had to talk to actually go out and try to find a girl so this will be new. But would i️t be weird to go to out to like a grocery store/coffee shop with the sole purpose of picking up?
