I see a trend here on this sub, and its counter productive anger and victim mentality. I've talked about it before and come to find out its very difficult to have a discussion with people who are angry, especially when the discussion is about anger.
here are three points that i have seen made by angry people and I think you can see that what is at stake here is their world view because the hamster is so strong.
1) "if anyone is critical of anger, they are a mangina, white knight and feminized!"
2) "anger is natural so what is wrong with you that you cant handle anger pussy!"
3) "what is wrong with venting?"
with number 1 the problem is that from this point of view no one can be critical of anger ever, and the problem with that is critical thinking is what separates adults from children. If you make personal attacks on to people to stop them from critical thinking, then you want them to be a child, and only a child would want that.
with number 2 the problem is that, in our society most people do not grow up. they go to the grave with the same level of consciousness and mentality of a bout 11 years old. they are adults in child awareness. Yes anger is natural, its natural for children. Adults learn to control their emotions and channel them. how is this relevant to mgtow? well, something in life isnt fair, and its hurt a man in some way... he comes here to cry about it, and people give him support. This is childlike, and then they get into this pattern of crying about things instead of taking ownership and self responsibility. which is what adults do.
the problem with number 3 is that, nothing is wrong with venting but venting isn't the end of your action. you do not simply stop with venting. you dont build up pressure and then vent... and repeat this for the rest of your life. thats a life in prison, at the mercy of your emotions, thats a life of a child.
so what can you do about it?
learn that as a man you are 100% responsible for everything in your life. if something is wrong, you fucked up. what did you do? what can you do better? where can you improve? Stop blaming others, and focus on the only thing you can control, your self.
learn that anger is a survival instinct, not a lifestyle. your fight or flight system is there for emergency use only. anger lowers your iQ, stops you from thinking and reacting, and makes you react. Chronic anger is stress, which is bad for you. You have to simply grow up and say, this wasn't fair but its in the past and right now I am going to do something positive for my self instead of wallow in negativity. You just have to live your life, and let the anger go.
learn that anger is a prison you put your self in, when you want to be happy. the emotion promises that you will get what you want but gives you what you don't want. I should of had this, so ill be angry... if you had it you would be happy, so because you didn't get it you will act the opposite of happy... which is what you wanted in the first place... follow?
are you going the way were you improve your self and live life, and love life?
are you going the way where you are angry about things, and venting, and angry about things and venting... for ever, as a lifestyle choice?
Obviously this post will be attacked by people who a clinging to anger as a world view and survival strategy, and these are the people who need the help the most... so lets see what r/MGTOW is made of?
ill leave you with this.... An old Cherokee chief was teaching his grandson about life...
"A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy. "It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.
"One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, self-doubt, and ego.
"The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.
"This same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"
The old chief simply replied, "The one you feed."
