I love it how they really only want to know how much money you earn but realize that asking for it straight up would pretty much make her a disgusting slut/prostitute. slut/prostitute does not go well with their self image of princess so they have to change the wording to "what do you do?" or "what is your job?" and use anything you display to try and judge your income ( apartment/hourse, cars, bikes, clothes, etc). this is enough to delude themselves even though they did not change the meaning at all.
