The employer should be able to show some path to termination. Like OP was talked to about an issue on this date and again on this date about something else and given a final warning.

You only have to scare her/the company enough to settle.

If she has kids, she wouldn't be working. Or would be making less. So while the large assets might be in her name, you would be the only one making money and would likely have to pay her support. Also, don't make babies if you aren't willing to be their father.

Most of the biggest AAA 'brands', release new titles so often it's pointless to pay full price for them.

Try to find a company that will pay you to take commercial driver training, do that for a while and figure out what your next step will be. It's in demand and the pay is acceptable.

None of that matters. All that matters is how willing the higher ups are to cut her a check to 'fuck off' when she makes a complaint. Unless you can make substantiated complaints against her, you're easier to fire than she is.

I think a huge part of these types of problems is that men still often have shame attached to standing up for themselves in certain situations. Mostly when it comes to pursuing legal action against a former employer. The rules have changed and as a whole we need to start playing by the game by their rules. As far as non-disparagement, in a lot of companies it's already policy to only confirm employment for just such a reason.

I've been playing Cities Skylines lately. I like games that I can just kinda go into for a couple of hours and sorta fart around. ETS2 has a new expansion coming out in a couple of weeks, so maybe I'll fire that up since I bought it on sale a month ago and never touched it. But I'm kinda trying to keep the gaming time down for the next month so I can just veg out when I take my holidays over Christmas. You can still OC with a B450 motherboard. If the manufacturer allows you to. You probably won't get as far, but AMD chips don't have a ton of headroom anyway. You'll hit the chip's limit before the board's.

Worked a place that cancelled a shift and laid off all but 2 of the employees because they were the ones that showed up every day. No class. Seems to be a trend in society. Went to a box box store this evening with a friend so he could pick up a game this evening. Ahead of us in the line was a father (irrelevant fact) and his small child. The kids was just wandering all over the place grabbing at stuff. I've noticed more and more cases of 'unchecked' children in the last few months. As we left I mentioned that if I had acted like that when I was younger, that would have been it. You have to start making a paper trail and applying discipline. Once you have a large enough stack of formal reprimands, you can mostly fire someone with no consequences. Just cut them a cheque on the spot for whatever they are legally entitled to and inform them they are no longer to be on the premises, or to suggest that they represent the company in any way. Or call her names and wait for her to sue you for it.

Why is she even there? Asking the real question. The only reasons I can come up with was either to have some youth appeal or because someone in the planning wanted to meet her. There's nothing wrong with watching some minor league, or lower tier, sports. You just have to realize that they aren't the real deal and the tickets have to be priced accordingly. Our dock at work has to be backed into on the blind side most of the time. Some guys will waste like 20 minutes trying to do it the "easy" way. Most of the autonomous trucking will happen on highways and other pin to pin operations. Deliveries and pick-ups will still have to be done by someone in most cases.

I'm still running an X58 system I bought new. I think the only original parts are the PSU, MOBO and CPU. I scored a used 6 core Xeon that I have clocked just under 4ghz, I think it's 3.9 something with a turbo of 4.1 and change. Picked up an RX 480 8GB days before the 580 launched and mining went crazy. Again. AMDs lack of involvement until last year really slowed down CPU advancement. Hopefully in the next couple of years, not 5, games can start utilizing more than 4 cores.

Financing is a tool, a mechanism. With a high credit score you'd have to be a fool to take on a high interest loan. If your money can sit in an investment and make more money than a finance agreement would cost, it's an easy choice.

As a man you simply employ the same tactics women do. You call 911, explain the situation and tell them you feel unsafe, or that you feel otherwise at risk of physical harm. Cops show up, take a statement and things go from there. Likewise, if you attempt to report a crime, like harassment, and the officer you attempt to report it to doesn't care, you record their badge number for possible future litigation.

Unfortunately programs that I can only imagine were originally intended to keep people from actual destitution and provide them a chance to climb out of poverty. Have been corrupted by people who have no desire to better themselves.

Yup. The correct step when someone talks to you like a piece of shit is to run it up the corporate ladder. Step 1, DO NOT ENGAGE! Step 2, hold frame. Step 3, do what you have to do to remove yourself from the situation. Even if that means the aggressor thinking they have the upper hand for a few minutes. Step 4, follow the proper steps and make their bullshit attitude, their problem. Seriously though, do NOT address them about it directly.

If you're willing to exploit sources like stubhub, or whatever, you could probably score a pretty sweet deal at the last minute on a single seat. I went to a concert alone last year. It was kinda weird and I definitely got some looks. Mostly because I had 2 seats.

I'm of the opinion that child support should be paid out through a trust type situation. Where receipts are submitted and someone with zero personal interest decides if it's worthy of repayment or not. Then any large expenses, like a school trip etc, can be handled from the general fund and don't require any extra negotiating.

There's lots of case law and actual laws in many jurisdictions contrary to your statement. If you are a "father" to the child in any capacity you could be on the hook until it's 18. Paternity test or not. It's also safe to assume that they're living together so they probably qualify as 'common law', again that's a very regional legal issue.

I work out to move weight, personally I don't care about how the results show physically. But I did work with this guy last year... This was at a plant that processed steel. One day we had to stack these 200 pound tubes that were about 10 feet long. A co-worker not much taller than me but with huge arms and shoulders was helping me. Now, I'm not the least bit physically imposing but this guy could barely keep up. It was funny and frustrating. I asked him what the point of all that muscle was if …

What's really funny about DUI enforcement, is it seems to stop before the courts. If one was so inclined they could probably find dozens of high profile cases in Canada where little to no jail time was served. It would be funny if it wasn't so depressing. DUI enforcement is just another cash cow now. Have a couple of drinks, not even to the point of being drunk and you automatically lose your license for 90 days, at least in my province, and face heavy fines once the police charge you. You don't…

Probably a few factors. "solve your problems with medication" mental health care, coupled with higher rates of borderline cases being diagnosed. I could easily see family doctors seeing the symptoms and prescribing medication as such and then referring to a specialist. The fact that HR and then supposedly higher up managers felt that the "issue" required any actual acknowledgment was basically spitting in the face of those accused. The accusation(s) itself carries a huge weight if any future perspective employer ever finds out, false or not. The mere suggestion can be enough to make someone else take a pass. People will actually give him cars when loved ones die and they simply don't know what to do with them. The key to Leno and why he's the most important modern 'car guy' is that he keeps them all (mostly) in a running, operating state. It's pretty crazy the amount of modern technology his staff employ to keep century old machines running. I think one part on a steam fire engine was actually 3D printed, out of metal. Ya, you can apparently 3D print with metal.

That would depend on what kind of interest rates you would be paying versus what that money could be earning you elsewhere. A person's personal goals and financial position also have to be considered. It's a much more personal and complex issue than a few lines on reddit can easily explain.

The most recent change, as I understood the person who was talking about it, moves the bar up a bit to keep money away from the riff-raff. People who upload full episodes of TV shows for example by upping the measly requirements. The only independent creators who would lose out would likely only be making $2.50 USD a month. I'm not sure how it would effect those in the middle ground, but it's basically to move the monetization to people who are using the platform for a living. And by living I me…

There was probably a vague morals clause in it. Vague enough that all WWE has to do is make a statement along the lines of "not within our corporate standards" or some BS and be done with it. If he tries to sue they might throw him some hush money just to keep it out of the news. If it was stated in the contract that he was to inform his employer of any possible charges and he violated said terms, he would then be at fault. It's just another story of how allegations of the sexual misconduct type…

I'm in Canada and not even one of the cities with money. That being said, if you're at a con, you should expect that you're going to end up in a couple of pictures. Whether you choose to or not. Not to mention the reason as to why corporations leave American soil in manufacturing is due to corporate taxing, costs, and overall cheaper spaces. It's open trade borders at work. Until the 1980s, the US federal government was funded by tariffs and duties. Products had to be made stateside because there was a tax barrier that made it uneconomical to make products offshore.

6 Beware of false economy and know your prices. Also, cheap TP sucks. 7 If you operate a business, you absolutely have to claim that money. A former employer got busted for not claiming a few hundred grand of cash sales. But, purchases that would generally be made with a CC, definitely, try to negotiate at least a few percent off if you're paying cash. If you use a credit card, the business will have no choice but to pay 2-3% to the credit card company.

1) Women do not make less than men. If companies could get away with hiring women for less, they would hire only women. That's all you need to say.

Look at these men, refusing to stay on the plantation and work at walmart for minimum wage on a part time basis so they can make enough money to barely survive.

Well, out of ~50 employees on 3 shifts where I work there are 2 women. One post wall with fake tits is the receptionist and the other one works on the production floor. The latter usurped someone's position and has been doing a shit job of it. If none of us showed up, nothing would happen. I doubt they could even get in the door.

The only reason she is where she is, or has had the jobs she had was because her husband was in politics. If Bill wasn't the governor of Arkansas before he was president, she wouldn't have been on the board of Walmart.

It's all about the certifications. I was in a trade for almost 4 years and lacked a key one, which meant I might as well have had no experience whatsoever. Had I been in possession of that one certification I would have been hired almost anywhere instantly.

Unfortunately for the hero, since he did assault the perv, the officers on the scene did the right thing by handcuffing him. As unsavory as it sounds, they show up knowing almost nothing about the situation. Once the sergeant showed up he performed preliminary investigative work and determined that he did indeed do nothing wrong and released him. I wish there were more people like him out there. All it takes for evil to succeed is for good people to do nothing. Not saying I agree with him being …
