I'm Colombian and my mother married a German. They had me and couldn't be happier. They are from an old world with different traditions and values. Being a good man or a good woman wasn't a hookline to trick people into liking them. I was born and raised here in western culture. I really hate the women here. There isn't even a personal connection with many of them.

My mother left my dad before I was 3; divorced by the time I was 4. Spent the rest of my childhood complaining that life was tough... and vicariously punishing my father through me. I pretty much stopped speaking to her after her THIRD husband turned out to be a nutter. I presume she died a while back but I have no idea.

My parents(both from Mexico, Durango city) have been married for about 25 years, and they've know each other for 7 years during middle and high school before dating. My family is Hispanic and our culture evolves around Catholicism and family(which is non existent here in the usa), and my mom puts her children first out of anything. My mom loves my dad to the point that if he's gone more than the time he says that he's going to be out for, she starts to freak out, thinking my dad got into a car accident and he's dead and the police are going to come knocking on the door to give her that bad news. My mom worked along side with my dad as janitors when they got into the country(about 19 years ago till today), using the money to help support their three children(I'm the middle child) to own a house(which happened 4 years ago, and this is in california, not a cheap place to own a house mind you) to give us a better future. My mom was very supportive for my father to help him out when he needed her the most and vice versa. They were inseparable almost to the point that God himself made them a match made in heaven. I was lucky or even bless to have a mother that cared not only her children but as well as her loving husband. Plus my mom was very low maintenance woman, the most expensive thing my mom ever got for was the wedding ring my dad bought for her on her wedding day when they officially got married (this was in a dmv building, very cheap wedding licence and they couldn't get married at Mexico because they didn't have the money for a traditional marriage but once they saw how much was for an average wedding cost here in usa, they say fuck that lol).

Treated and still treats him like shit, yelling and starting fights over the most asinine stuff. Always looking to find a flaw in something he does, particularly housework renovations that my dad and I did when we moved in to a new house.

The funny thing is, my dad is great with DIY handy work around the house. He almost singlehandedly renovated the house which in the end saved us A LOT of money because we didn't hire contractors for anything except plumbing and HVAC. He even bought another house for her that he and I are currently renovating. Did mom appreciate any of it? Hell no! Nothing was ever enough or good enough.

I'm still not sure if she realises that without my dad's income (which was considerable) and his skills we would probably be homeless and hungry.

Tldr, she is like an ungrateful child...
