I’ve seen post upset about the growth of the sub and the directions it’s going. First off if you have a positive insight and want to see more of that. I encourage you as well as I’m sure many more men feel the same to participate in this conversation here. Now the basics, these concepts are easy to understand but a lifetime to master and maintain.

  1. Strong body, a man must always maintain a physical readiness for any endeavor he wishes to move forward on. How can you honestly go out on your own if you can’t walk a mile in your own shoes? The Maintenance of this area last a lifetime, we are given one body in life we must take care of it. Especially since we are going at it alone.

  2. Strong mind, this includes everything you use your mind for. Make sure you are always pushing yourself forward in life. Make as much financial as you feel you need. Build your mind, read, learn, listen to anything you feel can be of value to you. Take on new trades as hobbies, work on vehicles, volunteer to learn construction trades ex:habitat for humanity has these types of programs. Programming, art, design, the opportunities out there are limitless. Never settle for anything less then your best, after all you’re working for yourself.

  3. Strong soul, this is the hardest of all areas. Being ok with being alone, as young boys we were conditioned to feel the need for another person. The need to serve to feel good taking care of others. The want to be a utility first for our mothers and then later for a partner. As many of us have seen it only leads to all Those sacrifices being spit on. I’ve been blessed to work in a occupation where I’m alone the majority of the time. Only recently have I understood just how good I have it. I used to rush home, feel the need for others now I bathe in the solitude. I’m at peace alone, truly at peace. This is what you must work towards, push away the external validation and grow the internal validation.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts on these basics, good luck.
