Honestly, that sounds like something that you heard from someone who doesn't understand MGTOW.

A lot of guys here used to do all the things that they were told that they were supposed to do, to try to date and marry. And they just kept getting disappointment and/or bad experiences in return. So they walked away from all that. Wouldn't you, in their situation?

Some of it is that it appears that a lot of the women just don't like a lot of the guys. It has been estimated that only about 20% (or less) of the men are considered good-looking by many of the women. Who wants to participate in an activity (dating) where there is an estimated 80% or more chance that they'll basically get treated as second-choice, nothing special, invisible, ugly, or even worse, no matter what they do? Just because being really good-looking is somehow the most important thing, or maybe even sometimes treated as the only thing of value?

If so many women don't like so many guys, I don't understand why they aren't celebrating MGTOW. You'd think they'd want all the regular-looking guys to just go away. I don't understand why they are so negative toward MGTOW.
