So I've been watching a ton of X-files recently, and I love Scully's character. She's not a Mary Sue, Ultra-empowered grrrrrrl power super ninja inventor.

She is a doctor and a scientist. Okay, that's believable, the top .1% of the top 1% of women

And she is a real woman. She gets overpowered easily by men. When she's attacked she loses, because a man will in general beat a woman in a willing fight.

And besides her pregnancy arc, there's little focus on her being a woman. There's no focus on her body, she doesn't wear leather-tight outfits or swimsuits. She wears pantsuits.

She's not as smart as Mullder (but has experience / domain knowledge in the medical field that he lacks), and she has trouble believing in anything.

The show is pretty split on Mullder saving Scully, or Scully saving Mullder. It's not an always "girl saves the dumb bumbling boy" like all the modern bullshit.

There's also not a relationship going on between Scully and Mullder. It's hinted like once PER SEASON that they maybe have a stronger-than-normal bond, and they might kiss on the cheek or something.

Also Mullder, he is an intelligent male. He is not evil, he is good. He is not a womanizer.

Chris Carter is a genius!

Why can't we just have great characters like this anymore? We have fucking Sheldon Cooper and Penny Whatever. Sheldon is an annoying nerd autist who doesn't understand social situations, but is so quirky and neat. And Penny is all girl power. All the boys are total idiots and the girls show them how they just solve anything in a second because GIRL POWER!!!

Or this fucking bullshit where a tiny woman is beating up 200 different armed big dudes, 90lbs tossing 300 around like it's nothing. Because GRRRLLL POWER!!!

Media has been ruined. There are only a few good shows left ( Check out Imposters if you haven't watched it, very red pill ) but even the good ones seem to have at least a minor degree of GRRRLL POWER. Why did Hollywood get so fucking cucked over the past 20 years?

Discuss other well-developed characters you appreciate from days of olde if you'd like. Or discuss some really awful undeveloped modern "characters" SJW bullshit that you hate. The choice is yours! And like Geddy Lee from Rush says, "If you choose not to choose you still have made a choice"

EDIT Disclaimer: I have not watched the X-files reboot and I heard it is cucked. I don't know that I'd want to spoil one of my favourite shows with the SJW reboot :( qq
