Siacario Day Of The Soldado is also about a teenage thot who comes to reality. One of my two best movies, alongside HEAT,Den Of Thieves.

Sicario 2 was just as good and without the annoying female archetype.

She was a good person trying to work through a shitty situation. Not much reason to mock her character. Does work as a good analogy for the 'LET THEM IN <3'-crowd, though. You don't mass import South Americans without importing South American lifestyles.

I heard it was good but I'm so sick of "powerfull", "strong", "empowered", and "beautiful" female "ass-kicking" "Action hero" protagonists being ham-fisted into every movie, I turned it off after 20 minutes or so. But I might have to give it another look.
