Now that they've opened this can of worms and pressed for these initiatives to get women into tech positions how do you fire an underperforming highly positioned female employee who is not doing her job without coming off as sexist or being accused of misogyny and daily sexual assaults for years on end during her employment?

Feminists claim they hate when they are objectified. But you will see no complaints from them against Bloomberg's objectification of Sandberg here, because she is portrayed as the victim of the scandals, rather than as an architect of them.

If you want to see an old gynocentric trick we don't see too often, just look at the headline: "Facebook’s Sheryl Sandberg Is Tainted by Crisis After Crisis". This is the way that people used to talk about fallen women back in the day. And what is a "fallen woman"? A good woman turned bad because her innocence was preyed upon.

It was a kind of gynocentrism that was popular around the first wave of feminism, used often by preachers, urban reformers, and women's activists to explain why "good girls" do "bad things."

Whenever some young, naive, innocent girl got into trouble, we used to say she "was tainted," because she fell victim to unscrupulous, nasty men. The idea of it was that this woman is now made to suffer because of a set of choices that set her upon the path to ruin, and that set of choices began with an evil man who seduced her.

It's an old tactic, but is still pulled out from time to time when trying to excuse the inexcusable, like Patty Hearst, or the Manson Family. It is the last card Big Woman can play to excuse a woman's failings.

The truth is, she knew. The truth is, she created those crises. And the only question is whether she is only partly responsible for them, or fully responsible for them.

Women claim they want to be high powered executives who make decisions. Except, when they are, and they make bad decisions, women are the first ones to say that they aren't responsible for them.
