Dude, don't worry about it. Just go about your business, act like noting happened because nothing did. Don't take it personally, she didn't. You asked, she declined, period. Don't be friend zoned, don't be an orbiter, just go about things like it didn't happen. Not avoiding her (continuing to go to class) yet not speaking with her (ignoring her will make her feel way more uncomfortable than you do now, believe that). Females want and need attention, especially from dudes that have rejected. They have an inherent guilt complex tempered by narcissism. Best advice i can give you is try to avoid as much as possible to hook up with class mates, work collegues, friends of friends, neighbours etc. ( people with whom you already have other relationships be it professional or of any other nature ).
