I touched upon this a while ago and you're right, it's a very unpopular opinion on here. But I can assure you it used to not be this way. Back when I joined (not this account obviously) there was about 1800 subscribers here and the message stood clear: If you have sex with women, you aren't going your own way. You aren't going your own way because when you have sex with women, you're not in control of what can happen from that situation and the consequences that follow. Can't go your own way if you're a slave to the exchange of women. It's kind of like saying you're in charge of your finances, but you never really can be, because the government's always going to have the final say-so in where your tax dollars go. (Excluding the mgtow who ghost).

Keep up with your unpopular opinion because I guarantee you you're on the right track. Mgtow no longer means what it actually intended. It gained velocity. Got sloppy. Now it means "yolo do what you want bro lol".

It pains me to see that users like u/DWShimoda and myself are now considered zealots because we keep the bare bones definition of mgtow.

The bigger problem is former incels imo. I've seen so many threads here wherein instead of discussing the pitfalls of relationships with women and female nature they just say stuff like all women are cancer I hate women etc. That's how we end up being associated with incels.

Who cares if a guy wants to date casually, if they go for that despite being aware of #metoo that's on them, but they are a MGTOW as long as they do not live for female validation, strive to live a good life for themselves and draw a hard line at cohabitation and marriage.

I mean there are always downsides to groups getting bigger, the message gets waterd down, people split up into different ideas concering what the group is about. But the beautifull thing about MGTOW is that its a subjective philosophy, so if people want to date and post memes and still argue they are MGTOW why not right? I my mind we are not a collective which share strict tennants, we are just men doing what we want to do and hopefully learn something from eachtother. Mabye it is a good idea to not fall into the No true MGTOW argument, since there is not one true MGTOW (mabye some universal tennants are shared but nothing objective or conrete in my mind), just live your life the best you deem you can. And what hopefully this sub is that alot of men can learn and exchange ideas and find feedback to certain things, yes some stuff might be cringy or annoying or stupid however some guys are still finding their way and some might even just use mgtow for a moment and then move on that is fine by me.

Then again just my own opinion does not carry much weight regardless.
