A while back a company I consult for called me in for a meeting. I'm no stranger to pointless meetings but this one stood out as particularly stupid and wasteful so it stuck in my mind.

There were apparently these two women that had recently been hired there. Both of them were from outside the US. They apparently had complained to HR together that they "Didn't feel like they really worked there" (WTF? So they went to HR to complain about not working?) So of course HR scheduled a meeting with a dozen different department heads to have basically a feel good session that "Hey everyone knows you now blah blah....." This is Heather and Heather. They both work here in data entry (or some other entry position) and they feel like you don't pay enough attention to them. I really don't know why they added me to this meeting I think sometimes they just forget I don't actually work there. Doesn't matter to me since it was 2 billable hours to catch up on emails.

I was reviewing our ticket system to make sure all the requests were getting closed and one stuck out because of this meeting. Apparently both of these women walked out of their job a couple weeks after this meeting anyway. The dumbest part is this company actually pays really well and has full paid benefits. I guess welfare beats working.

Imagine the waste of man hours and lost productivity from all this. Get Woke Go Broke!
