woman admits to false statements led to man dying in jail

Just signed on so I could get some ideas. A friend of mine said 20 or so years ago she got a man convicted and sent to jail. She even admits how it was shockingly easy to do. He died in jail this last week, and she says she made the whole thing up, justifies it as "I was an angry teen at the time and I didn't think a jury would actually convict him, guess I was a better actress than I thought." I don't know what the conviction was for or the length of the original sentence or even what happened at the original trial to allow her to fool a jury, though I assume it was something major since he died in prison 20+ years later. So should she just keep her mouth shut instead of telling others (like me) or what would be the ramifications for her if this came out? State of washington if that matters. Guess I'd better not cross her in the future. She has no remorse over this and just says, "Shouldn't have messed with me originally". The man is dead now, but he has 2 grown (adult, over 50) children left.”

Could be trolling but holy cow if not. I’m sure this happens every day but to be so callous.....
