All money is imaginary. It only has value because people think it does.

You cant eat it... most has no practical use. Gold and silver are just metals that can be used to make certain things. Most of which are unnecessary. Crypto is imaginary, when the SHTF, and billions are starving, nobody is gonna trade their food for any money and starve to death.

Basically the whole current paradigm is built on a mass psychosis called economics.

And it is in crash mode. So I use money much like people do in eras of hyper inflation, I spend it to get things of lasting value in a post crash reality. I save enough to operate thru emergencies, but any money in hand or in a bank etc. When the crash hits, is basically wasted potential to have done things with. This includes retirement accounts, and the value of houses in places where there are too many houses and people to be able to grow food.

And even excess ownership will crash, Bill Gates owns thousands of acres, if money crashes, he cant pay to defend it, and there will be no police doing it for free.

Bill will effectively own some pieces of paper.

Even ownership is imaginary, in times chaotic, you only own what you can defend, and people will screw you out of anything you cant see from your fort.

The current paradigm is based on enough people believing to have a critical mass, and use force or threats of force, to control.

And even the longest lived civilisations have crashed repeatedly in history.

As far as I know, the most stabile culture in human history, was the Hillforts Culture, it lasted for thousands of years, and stretched from Ireland to Japan, and Scandinavia to the Mideast.

It was based on family clans, who built trenched and palisaded forts to store food, and escape tunnels miles long in case they couldnt successfuly defend themselves.

The trenches were about 30 ft deep with straight sides, likely sharpened stakes in the bottom, and often several trenches in rings.

And were often dug in the stone age, and continued into the iron age.

They didnt do that for aesthetics.

They did it to survive and protect things of actual value. Food and family, and their tools and posessions.

When the Roman Empire crashed, people went back to building Hillforts, but they used the Roman stone cutting technologies instead of wooden palisades. This is where castles came from.

Just an improved Hillfort.

With the advent of gun powder, Castles became obsolete, and the era of earthwork fortifications emerged, which are still being used to this day, the French are using them in Africa. But they only function because who they are fighting do not posess heavy artillery.

Forts are traps....

Mobility is the essence of warfare.

Cities are forts of sorts, based on numbers of fighters.

They used to be walled. But were regularly put under siege and taken.

Humans have been operating for thousands of years fighting each other, wars are invariably fought over territory, resources, and slaves.

Ideology is just an excuse used to hype this or that tribe.

Often to distract the morons from problems at home.

So most people's perception of reality is cantilevered over a rather large abyss...

And when the shit hits, those most practical and understanding of the situation will be who is most likely to survive.

Those who got caught up in an imaginary reality will be least likely.

Retirement used to be based on getting your shit together in practical terms. Building up your farm, getting herds and food trees producing.

And having family enough to mount a viable defense.

It had nothing to do with money.

Globalization is a huge one. Yeah, it makes getting goods from other countries easier. But it also caused governments to purchase/forcefully take over small farms and make them produce cash crops over food. It also made governments compete with each other, focusing on having the best GDP while ignoring their own people.

When everything collapses, be ready to live under the rule of someone like China who refuses to indulge in this stupidity. The environments which are most harsh to women and doesn’t allow them all these freedoms is where they will end up.
