I was enlisted Navy for 11 years (out on a medical) and have SOOOOO many stories of guys getting cheated on during deployments. Keep in mind that I was also in and out before the advent of shipboard email or publicly available sat phones to call home with while out to sea. We had to wait until port call and then find a pay phone and use a calling card. Otherwise it was letters and packages.
