It's almost 2 years old at this point, but the article provides a good amount of information and highlights victims of male sexual assault in the military, the stigma of those assaulted, and how the focus on female sexual assault (less than 20% of those that occur for soldier-on-soldier assaults) has actually brought it to focus.

The reason why stories like this never make the national headlines is because gays can only be portrayed in a positive light or as victims. So much so that the media will make the claim that it isn't gays who are doing the raping, even though the defining act for being gay is same gender sex. It's impossible for a straight man to have sex with another man because he simply can't get aroused by another man.
