Japan has also been very resistant to immigration which has greatly contributed to this problem.

That said, there are too many people in the world and a declining birth rate in the first world shouldn't necessarily be viewed as a negative thing as much as a short term hit to the world economy.

"Boycotting" society via marriagestrike and birthstrike is one of the few ways to affect change. Given the lack of male solidarity and the (slight) majority of vote that women have, I don't see voting ourselves a solution to be in the cards.
