Thanks guys! You've given me a lot to think about, and a few things to start, look into, or just do in order to get involved. It's replies like these that attracted me to the MRM in the first place, and this kind of encouragement makes me feel right about diving in.

Examine and eradicate your own biases first. Be willing to admit when you are wrong, willing to allow others to be wrong because they have to doscover the truth on their own. Always be more curious to learn than to teach. Encourage level-headed positivity and cooperation, discourage angry ranting, finger pointing and negativity. Never think you have a full understanding of anything. Attempt to understand the psychology and feelings of different types on both sides and how or why they believe what they do. Trust everyone has a good reason in their mind, whether you think it is good or not. Try to prove yourself wrong and think long and hard about your beliefs before you express them. Consider the possibility that nobody knows what's actually going on, doubt everything and you may just find a solution nobody has thought of.

There are a lot of things you can do.

First, find the father's rights group in your state or province and ask them what you can do to help even if you are not a father. Getting involved in legislative action to change custody laws and DV laws is very important and rewarding.

Second, if you are a student or a parent of a male student get involved with what is happening in the school administration. Go to PTA and school board meetings and ask them how male students are fairing and what can be done about it.

Third, be vocal.
