Heard a gut-wrenching discussion about this initiative targeting boys on the radio today - is going to be rolled out across Australia if feminists have their way, and there is interest from many other countries - including from the USA - about adopting the program.

The talk featured had a nasily-toned gender studies guy, who is involved with the program, mention the boys would be taught they are part of the patriarchy and their understanding of "masculinity" would be examined, questioned, refuted and slowly reconstructed through the program.

It also mentioned that the need to put boys through this program rested entirely on hearsay from boys' mothers - ie. the mother who claims the boy's dad is violent, and that the boy is also showing anger, will be automatically eligible.

The claim is that this will protect the mother and future women from potential violence from the boy.

This project needs itself to be targeted by all people who care about the treatment of boys as scapegoats.

This is a new wrinkle. I have to wonder how these boys got so violent? It couldn't be that they were raised by single mothers who beat the feathers out of them when they were small?

How do they know the boys are not responding to violence inflicted on them by their mothers. In one study, mothers claimed they never hit their children, but when they wore cameras, they found out that, on average, they hit their children 800 times a year.
