Summing up: Women should stop victimizing. Girls are fine: independant and free of choice. There is not such thing as "patriarchy" and women need stop blaming it for everything, like career choices.

"We (women) are not born victims. Women in Spain are free to choose career. work and life style"

It's an interesting piece, but please note that in the last 24 hours alone El Pais has also published the following videos on its Youtube channel:

Feminismo para torpes: ¿soy feminazi? (Feminism for Dummies: Am I a feminazi?)

Poesía para el Día Internacional de la Mujer (A poem for International Women's Day)

#8M: ¿CÓMO ES UN DÍA SIN MUJERES? (What would a day without women be like?)

Las mujeres del mundo rural también van a la huelga (Women in the countryside are also going on strike)

El día que las mujeres paralizaron Islandia para clamar por la igualdad (International Women's Day brought Iceland to a halt while demanding equality)

Huelga del 8 de marzo: Si tienes dudas, te las resolvemos en dos minutos (Strike of 8th March: If you have any doubts, we'll clear them up in two minutes)

Hagamos el juego más justo #8M (Let's level the playing field)

And that's just a selection ...

And to add to that, the first paragraph of the article days "feminism is doing well, there are more women than men at university, women outlive men, less women kill themselves, but let's also remember..."

They list those shocking unequal statistics about male suffering as if they're a GOOD thing!

That's because the underlying philosophy of this article is female exceptionalism. Women are better than men and deserve better than man. Anything less is sexism. Men aren't made to feel like victims, so neither should women.

This is in contrast with feminism in high power establishments (government, google, UN, etc...). In those establishments they believe that women are inherently less capable than men. But insist that women's lives should be better than that of men. But because we do live in a society where meritocracy plays a very influential role, they feel the need to control the narrative to prevent people from recognizing that women are inferior in terms of productivity*, to do that, they claim that women are victims of constant sexism everywhere.

So people with the first kind of philosophy are victims of the propaganda from the second kind of philosophy. But because they're not "in on the strategy", or because they just disagree on that point and believe that women are genuinely as or more capable than men, they may from time to time call out feminism's hypocrisy on that point. But the vast majority of them will never switch to true gender egalitarian philosophy, because the underlying motivation for their philosophy is the same: they want women to be treated better than men.

*Note to anti-MRA lurkers trying to see sexism in everything MRAs say. That's not what I believe, those are the beliefs of feminists in positions of power, such as at large corporations (e.g. Google), in the government (e.g. the US) and in international organizations (e.g. the UN).

Well, the manifesto is not their own work, it was put together by the people at http://nonacemosvictimas.com/manifiesto/ , they just decided to publish it. I guess that having publications on both sides makes El País a neutral newspaper then? Kudos to them.
