Machete-wielding woman who raped boyfriend committed to state hospital. She's charged with 6 crimes. Police apparently still figuring out if threatening a person with a machete to force them to have sex with you is rape if a woman does it to a man.

1) The foremost expert on sexual violence and one of the most powerful public policy makers on sexual violence in the US has repeatedly stated it is not rape.

Although consideration of male victims is within the scope of the legal statutes, it is important to restrict the term rape to instances where male victims were penetrated by offenders. It is inappropriate to consider as a rape victim a man who engages in unwanted sexual intercourse with a woman.

2) Montana is in the approximately half of states that has gender neutral sexual aassault laws, so there is still a possibility she will be charged.

There was no mention of the definition of rape for F>M being the problem. Everything is on hold while the hospital does 90 day treatments to try and stabilise her enought to assist in her defense.

She's 19 and had been in a relationship with him for 7 years. Since 12 then.
