I think the best counter argument is to this:

“Imagine that girl is the part of each of us that feels compassion, empathy, passion, intensity, association, relationship, emotion, play, resistance, vulnerability, intuitive intelligence, vision.”

Sure, IF we imagine that, then yes, those things are "girl". But I will equally imagine "good" as being those things, and all of a sudden there is no more direct relation to women.

Women can have those qualities, as can men.
