As a victim of both physical and emotional spousal abuse, no one gave two shits about the situation besides my immediate family. Everyone else either marginalized it or laughed it off, saying it was impossible for such a small woman to hurt me. First, she went for the face or my testicles when hitting me, so yeah...It DID hurt. Second, the fact that someone I pledged to spend the rest of my life with, intentionally caused me harm, is the worst thing in this world. It’s absolute torture. Just...listen to people, please...

Depression(so that fragile ego, i guess, people really don't get how mental health works), lack of motivation at school(literally discouraged from learning and participating) and emotional suppression.

Such a statement from someone can only mean they believe mens lives are perfect and can never have any issues ever. Or they ignore them, the homeless, the mental health issues, drug and alcohol issues, crime stats, family court issues, etc. And thats the stuff that there are hard stats for.
