God damn this strikes a nerve with me. My ex is a money grubbing bitch when it comes to this stuff. Guys, protect yourselves, and for any women listening to this remember these words:

IMO as it stands if some chick tries to sell you into slavery by having a kid against your will, ex-pat and let her pound sand. If this became the status quo of these kinds of situations, you better believe the laws would get looked at and made more fair along the lines of Legal Paternal Surrender.

Any time I bring up not wanting to get married, there's always this argument. But here's the deal: every guy thinks he is the exception when he gets married. She may like you now, and your marriage may never have any trouble. But if it does? As soon as she crosses the line into disliking you, she can completely fuck you over. Every guy who walks into divorce court thought that it wouldn't happen to him and was wrong.
