1) Just because you can freeze your eggs and deliver a kid when your 65 years old does not make it a good idea.

2) All recent studies point to an increased chance of complications for women 30+ as well as increased chance of birth defects (Cerebral Palsy, Autism, etc...). Why deal with a 40 year old cock carousel rider for creating your offspring when you can get a 25 year old hottie who probably wont deliver a kid with 'TEH STUPID'

3) Maybe 300 year old statistics are right in general? I'd say the odds are fertility rates have dropped across the board. This means that the choice between a 20 year old and a 40 year old for having kids is still a no brainer after 300 years.

Evolution cued us into seeking indicators of youth and fertility for 3+ million years. You think some bullshit from some woman who's hamstering is going to change what human males are evolutionary predisposed to?

I've read lot of literature on this subject, and if you'd really like to know, well...

Female fertility peaks around 16. That's right six-fucking-teen. (Coincidence that this is the age of marriage?) It's all downhill from there. After age 35, the decline is steep. Menopause starts at around 35 as well. Some women can be fertile into their 40s, but post 35 you're risking a much greater risk of genetic defects.

I would say, just looking at the data, age 16-25 is a woman's sexual/health/fertility peak. But don't take my word for it, look it up yourself. Just so you know, however, this data is difficult to find sometimes because women obviously don't want it to exist.

Another data point, in the modeling world, 12 - 20 is the peak. So that's just after puberty.
