I think it just means that you need a minimum amount of money so you don't have to worry about whether or not your have a place to sleep and things to eat. Plus if you can be in a decent place rather than a real shitty one with gang bangers next door. Once that is satisfied, there isn't much more to be gained in terms of happiness. but satisfying all of those things listed definitely makes a person happier

The main difference between men's rights and the red pill is that the red pill accepts that men and women aren't the same or equal. That is, a rejection of egalitarianism(see /r/darkenlightenment). Not being equal implies that they should not be treated the same. Perhaps women's suffrage was a mistake. Perhaps pushing women into careers was a mistake.

I agree with the general idea of dysgenesis, though I am not sure how confident I am in this particular measure. RT and IQ are negatively correlated (lower RT = Higher IQ). Per the study, the correlation was found to be -.21 and -.31. This is pretty high for what it is worth, but isn't high enough to inspire huge amounts of confidence that it serves as a very good proxy for IQ (as opposed to an ok one). Thanks for the paper.

Immigration can mitigate some of the issues, but it comes with its own problems as well. I think most sane people have some desire to preserve their own culture, or at least preserve a high level of affluence. In many countries, such as the US and Europe, immigration often focuses on low skilled immigrants with high fertility rates. I am not arguing against pasteurization. It obviously does a lot of good. I am (or was) skeptical about government regulators who don't allow local dairy farmers to sell unpasteurized milk in their local community. I am a little bit persuaded against my former position due to the revelation that tuberculosis is common in wildlife, which can spread to cattle and then to humans. That is actually a pretty big public health concern.

IDK. I guess I can see that usage, but most of the time I see this term used it isn't with respect to natural selection or gender roles. It is discussed mainly in the context of the legal system and how men and women are treated differently based on the amount of control they are perceived to have over their own actions. Well, I have seen a lot of things about navigation differences between men and women. Men using compass directions vs. women using land marks, for example. Hopefully some other interesting stories will come up. Though I think there are people like what the ROK guy describes, I think it isn't at all obvious that that mindset had anything to do with this particular situation. I think the main point was to use shaming type arguments to belittle both of them, true or not. On the the one hand, I really dislike that tactic.
