I agree with your observations, but I don't think the mimicking is always a very calculated move either. At least not consciously. I've met a number of girls who seem to be aware of their own inability to have healthy relationships. And rather than putting in the work to dig deep into themselves and change things they've just picked up on a usable short-term strategy for finding mates.

It's kind of like guys who think girls are just attracted to money, but don't know anything about game or TRP. They have a tactic that works and has some truths to it but...

You are at the club. You are walking around or sitting talking to a friend. All of a sudden a group (2-6) of wild HBs appears. They need a photo of themselves right now and they need you to take it.

Bullshit. They don't need a photo, this is the go to girl opener. Well, in my area at least. It is yours to loose at that point.

I often see girls checking me out, following me and staying within eye sight. Looking at me hopefully and needy. Some even say something to me and I pretend that I didn't hear them, so they either get closer or change their pose. When that failed they feel like getting rejected and write me off. Girl game IMO is being there.

I told this to some mates and it is funny that they realize how girls follow us and sit close to us all the time.

Funny story: Fat 4/10 asks if I have cigarettes. No, but outside is a vending machine. Her: "Will you go there with me?" "Only if my hand is on your ass all the time" "Sure"

It must have been hard for her to grow the balls to talk to me but she looked for a way to approach me and cigarettes were just a secondary goal of her.

Girls also often comment on my fashion style.

Or ask me if I can take a photo of them.

Starting a conversation is like a pick up line for them, but it also great as a excuse for them as they still can tell themselves that they didn't get rejected since they weren't hitting on me. I think deep down they feel rejection since they didn't achieve their goal.

I've seen a couple chameleons in my day and I'm glad I experienced it. One major chameleon I dated seemed TOO interested in my hobbies. She would actually study the subject and ask deep questions about it.

This seemed perfect at first. I remember thinking how great it was that this person wanted to join me in my hobbies. I remember thinking how lucky I was that a female wanted to pick up these mainly male interests.

It's bullshit.

Good chameleons (as she was) are skilled at feigning interest. Once they have you comfortable and happy they usually can get what they want. And she did.

Luckily I know not to fall for that any more.
