Every one of us has been at that point in our lives where we are caught in the fictitious trap called Oneitis. Some of us thought we were in love, some of us placed the pussy on a pedestal so high that not even the gods could steal a peak, but I think most of all there was that one girl who seemed "right for me".

First of all, let’s completely remove the notion of a Jigsaw fit as explained by /u/Whisper:

"And that's is why blue pill dating advice consists of "keep trying the same thing over and over again, hoping for different results", "just be yourself", "wait until you find the right person", "people are complicated, and all different. Just keep trying", and "changing yourself or your behaviour is dishonest, manipulative, and rapey". Because their notion that people are puzzle pieces means that they must find a fit the way puzzle pieces do... test each different piece the same way, until you get the right result. And anything you do to present yourself differently is just disguising what puzzle piece shape you are, and preventing others from finding a fit.

So why do they believe this lie? Because it is pretty.

It is hard to break from the mind-set of "the one" because it is permeated within our society to the point of assumed truth which means that ONLY YOU can identify that you have enslaved your mind to an ideal. Consider Karl Marx's Critique of Hegel's Philosophy of Right and replace "Religion" with Feminism and "Flower" with Women to understand the disillusionment man forces upon himself as consolation for the ugly truth of the world.

"Criticism has plucked the imaginary flowers on the chain not in order that man shall continue to bear that chain without fantasy or consolation, but so that he shall throw off the chain and cull the living flower. The criticism of religion disillusions man, so that he will think, act, and fashion his reality like a man who has discarded his illusions and regained his senses, so that he will move around himself as his own true Sun. Religion is only the illusory Sun which revolves around man as long as he does not revolve around himself."

Oneitis can be broken by understanding the stark differences between fantasy and reality as exemplified by the Friend zone. Evaluate your relationship with the women in your life who you find attractive and review your frame within those relationships. Are you getting what you want? What is the power dynamic? Are you being used?

Once you identify that you are in-fact an orbiting beta-male willing to supplicate a woman's every whim then you cut that shit out and prepare to remove them from your life. Delete their mobile, unfriend them, delete all previous phone conversations, voicemails, emails, anything you can think of to remove them from your mind. However you go about doing it you essentially want to keep yourself from having any thoughts about her. She is a waste of your valuable time.

Now that you have cut your loose ends it is time to understand just how many single, hot, young and easy women there are out there. Why are you focused on this one girl when there are literally thousands of copies of her around the world? What innate value does she have that trumps other girls who hold the exact same qualities as her?

Finally, you need to internalize that women and sex are not the answers to your happiness. Sex is good but it is a means of instant gratification, true happiness comes from finding peace from within and that only comes from achievement, self-worth and self-improvement. Working on inner-game and overall attractiveness for the sake of women defeats the purpose of TRP because the happiness you seek is not a satisfactory one. Striving for more/better sexual partners is an egotistical endeavor whereas working to improve yourself for your own happiness is a virtue all humans wish to find.
