If a person was accused of violating a companies harassment policy, the HR people would get involved but if the person actually crossed the line and did something which was considered raping a co-worker, the case would be handed over to law enforcement and HR wouldn't get involved again until the person was found guilty and therefore needed to be terminated.
If it is because the act was committed in their dorms, wouldn't that be equivalent to a landlord getting involved in a tenants business?
