Barely two days have passed and another man has chosen to end the life of his child in order to punish her mother.

This is entitlement. It’s a view some men have that children and women belong to them.

And before any fuckbag starts sharing articles about women committing infanticide, there’s a reason it’s treated differently under the law - and that’s because in most cases it’s the result of post partum psychosis and not the desire to punish someone who has the audacity to end your relationship.

Anyone who wants to sympathise with men, claiming they’re “driven” to it - fuck off and go and sit with the fact you are an apologist for murder. Because you believe men’s aggrieved feelings are an acceptable justification not just for killing grown women but murdering their own children.

Anyone who wants to say, WeL tHe FaMiLy CoUrT dRiVeS tHeM tO iT, if you’re inclined to fucking kill your own kids because you’re mad that their mother left you after you abused them then the system did its job in trying to keep you, a dangerous man, away from them.

This is not “a tragedy”. It’s murder. It’s entitlement. It’s anger. It’s violent revenge. Stop fucking siding with perpetrators.

And to the number of people I see asking, “well what did she do to drive him to it?” Maybe you should start Fucking asking, “what did HE do to make her have to summon incredible wells of courage to leave, knowing there was an increased risk something like this might happen.”
