mail order brides have a lower divorce rate than western women. because of the way that the mind develops you are better off if she is at least 25 years old as that will maximize cultural impacts on her and minimize the chance that she later becomes "westernized". i have heard many horror stories of the russian mail order brides though. if you get a very attractive woman there is a higher chance that she ends up cheating on you and leaving you.

your best bet is to just move to their country. you will be the exotic foreigner and will probably be the best catch in town. on top of that the society will continually reinforce that you are better than the other guys, as the other women will also be attracted to you, making you the desirable of the couple. bring her back to the US, and she will be the desirable of the couple, and make it more likely that she leaves.

but no matter how you split the hairs. if you are going to get married, the odds are better if you marry a foreign woman.

I think I might have watched something similar and what I found surprising is that the guys who go over there and try to find a wife are actually somewhat alpha; they're usually just suffering in the looks department a bit.

From the woman's perspective it is quite exciting for her to go over to another country that she has heard so much about and be with someone who is wealthier than her and her other possible Russian suitors. However if things aren't the way she expected or she absorbs too much 'feminism' I can see there being a problem.
