Highschool is fine, the "don't shit where you eat" rule doesn't apply there as it's not like they could fire you from that shit, you're stuck with it.

Your suggested approach was bold as fuck and if you can see yourself pulling that off and still looking perfectly chill/natural, go for it dude. It has to vibe with your "normal" self, cogruency is important.

Otherwise you can always tone it down just a little if you wanna give yourself a gentler slope to climb while you're starting out.

"Hey, talk to you a sec?" take her aside from her friends or what she's doing... "I noticed you in class, you're kinda cute...let's grab coffee together, I'd love to meet the person wrapped in all the pretty. I'm Richard. Here's my phone, you can put in your #. "

Smile at her kindly, yet kinda cheeky too, and it's done.

Rejections are normal with chicks, never get angry at them for it, don't even bat a single eyelash if you get "Oh I don't give out my number...", "Oh but I have a boyfriend", "Oh but I don't know you" etc. Anything she says that isn't "Sure!!", you just smirk at and go "Alright cool, let me know if you change your mind, it'd be fun. See you around!" and walk away a winner, don't look back.

Important point, after you approach, regardless of what she said, you should now say "hey" to her AND her normal small group of bitch friends when you see them in class or whatever. You want to be the one who says hi first, it shows balls & charm, plus you never know - you may not get the one girl you approached, but the fame of how "cool" you were about it will predispose her giggly girlfriends massively in your favour.

Then you get with one of them, have a good time, and suddenly the original girl hears about it, now she's all over you, wants to go out. Because "back off BITCH, he talked to me FIRST."

Unless you're the star QB that's probably too aggressive for a HS girl. Social calibration is more important than fulfilling your idea of alphaness.

Also "don't shit where you eat" does not mean don't date your classmates in high school, or college for that matter. It applies to working adults so don't worry so much bro

Two possibilities: Either you succeed, or you get rejected. EITHER IS A WIN. Rejection is good for you. It'll desensitize you to the fear of failure, because you will know that failure is always temporary.

The only way to lose this encounter is not to approach. Fucking go for it.

Go for it. Sounds like you have a good plan to me. I know plenty of dudes on here will say not to tell her shes 'fucking hot' but honestly saying something is better than saying nothing, and if she doesn't respond well to it that doesn't mean some other girl in (or outside of) your school won't respond well to the same thing.

If you go to a small high school I could understand a logical fear of rejection. I graduated HS with 650 kids, and if your school is that size you have nothing to lose by getting rejected a few times.
