Eye contact is a form of social tension. If you feel (often subconsciously) unable to deal with or simply uncomfortable with the escalation that follows from the tension, you will instinctively break the tension prematurely, aka you will look away. With males this usually implies physical escalation (even in friendly conversation), with females, sexual escalation. If either of those implications feel daunting, you will have a hard time keeping eye contact. Source

When my mindset is right, I make eye contact with random hot women outside. I get to this point with them. It feels so good that I get tense. A mix of surprise, attraction, connection. At this point, I push on the breaks, look away. I suppress myself instead of expressing.

  1. Is it OK to stop them after making 1.5 seconds of eye contact and after we pass each other in grocery shop or street? My mind works slowly: "WTF just happened? >> We had a connection >> I can approach her >> Stop, turn around, follow her, say hello"

  2. This rarely happens with younger girls. I guess they are timid. Any tips?
