Hey guys,

I made three cold approaches today and was turned down by all. I know that can be par for the course but I’m having difficulty figuring out where to improve:

First Approach: I approached woman and said “hey, you’re cute, what’s your name” (this is my opener for all approaches mentioned in this post). She smiled and responded by saying that she was too old for me (I’m 21, she seemed about 30). She started to walk off so I said have a good day.

Second Approach: I approached a girl my age. She gave me her name and I shook her hand and asked her if she was enjoying the summer. She said yes and I asked her if she was just coming back from uni and she said yes and then said she was running late for a party and her body language suggested that she wanted to keep walking so I wished her a good night and we went our separate ways.

Third Approach: I approached her and she smiled and said “I have a boyfriend, apologies” and then kept on walking.
