If you are playing video games all day then you aren't doing things that are raising your SMV.

We've all wasted a day on Call of Duty, but seriously, it's doing nothing for you.

SMV is a perceived value, but being that confidence is a huge part of SMV for guys, this includes your perceived value of yourself as well.

How badly they want you to be the father of their children. The more they want it to be you before anyone else, the higher the SMV they'll assign to you.

Often a certain stigma is linked to the hobby, so if one says plays video games all day people will assume he's the avg loser type wich kills interest, but as the other guy said it does depend on the amount of confidence/looks/amount of healthier hobbies you balance it out with

Playing video games by itself won’t lower your SMV. You are only misusing your time. The time that you could and should be spending working on increasing or at least maintaining your SMV is being wasted on something that does nothing to your SMV so it eventually decreases.

Thing about SMV is this. It isn’t just one thing. It’s a lot of stuff combined. Looks (you have little say in this), knowledge, status, wealth, life experiences, hobbies to name the most common ones. These things are a byproduct of one another. They are all interrelated as in you can’t just get wealth without knowledge and experiences which will automatically increase your status and so on.

Hobbies alone won’t increase your SMV unless coupled with other factors. I play the electric guitar quite well but it did nothing to my SMV because I was a loser. So I used to be the all around loser with a guitar. Nobody fucking cares. When I started improving all the other aspects, now being a guitarist just adds some shine to it.

It depends on the girl. I would think most girls would find gaming all day unattractive lowering your smv in their eyes. Then again, there are girls like my LTR that also play video games and as long as I don't neglect myself or her she doesn't care. it almost increases my smv in her eyes because it's a commonality we share.

Granted, my LTR plays more video games than I do, so if I wanted to play video games all day she would be totally fine with it and do something else. If she isnt fine with it, next.

For the most part I would say it lowers your smv just because most attractive females don't play video games. Shit, girls that play video games could think it's unattractive to play all day, but it's all relative.

You could jack off and watch animu all day, but if you had great looks, you'd still be much higher SMV than most.
