My friends (especially one of them) and i have had a pretty good friendship up until the last couple of days. A couple of things made me doubt the friendship...

Problem 1: Last week, Me and the friend that i’m closest to in the group joked about who would lose their virginity first, between the two of us.

Now, he’s just hooked up with this girl that he’s about to fuck which i congratulated him for and then proceeded to move on with my own Self-improvement. At first the jokes and him teasing me i viewed as banter but right now he’s just continuing to call me a ”failure” in a joking way but it honestly seems like he kind of went from being humble to outright disrespecting me, which i think took things a bit too far... It honestly even got to me and i felt like a failure considering hes 1 year youngrr than me. (17 and i’m 18)

He keps rubbing it in my face and i feel like he’s been poisoned by this other guy that’s known to be a textbok sociopath.

Problem 2: My friend is friends with this guy whos been known to be a two-faced backstabber that used to use me (and other nice guys)in my beta days ( grade 10) and even used, backstabbed and shat on my same friend that now went back to him, the same close friend that now says: i don’t care about what he said to you, i cant wait to fuck this girl to me etc

When i stopped obeying his commands and cut him out he kept trying to poison my current friends against me and embarass me in front of strangers. This guy always brings up things i did in my embarrassing beta days and brags about how he used me to get good grades and he did it today in front of a whole group, which i responded by calmly walking away.

I’ve had enough, and have been dissappointed in my close friend, especially after him trying to justify today that the other guy is just ”joking”. Yeah, joking my ass he embarassed the hell out of me in front of a whole group and girls....

But it honestly felt like he did it out of malice and disrespect. I’m tired of being disrespected...It just feels like true friendship doesn’t even exist. You can’t trust put trust in so called ”friends”...
