I can think of so many examples when groups of men go off the rails, become politicized, or are generally outlawed. Female-only subreddits, meetups, and gyms remain popular, but the thought of making a men-only anything is taboo. Even groups like the Elks and Masons remain mysterious and controversial. My buddy and I did a short documentary on a fairly harmless group of gym guys who meet up in Venice to do ice baths and breath work, and I was shocked by the comments. We've never had a more controversial video, some men thought it was gay, some thought the men were soft, others thought it was dangerous for men to organize in a "tribe."

Why do you all think groups like the "Man Tribe" are so controversial? Isn't community and personal development a good thing for men to pursue together? I do have to point out that most of the pushback came from men. It reminded me of women complaining about pretty girls and bringing them down, watching some basement dwelling YouTube commenter try to explain why a war hero, martial artist, and perfect physical specimen like Ruby Reyes isn't a "real man."
