Does anyone have any experience with a Roth account? I am a 23 year old young man living in Brooklyn. Right now I am making a little bit above minimum wage but I am living at my parents house so I have the opportunity to save a bit of cash before I eventually move out.

I know I am no where near retiring yet, but I would just like some wisdom. Instead of putting my savings in a bank account to sit and do nothing, I saw an article that said that Roth accounts could do more for my savings than sitting idly.

I want to open a Vanguard account but there is so much information and so many different options. I would like a second opinion.

Also if anyone knows anything about ETFs, I would be willing to to learn more about that as well.
