“Just been busy, don’t take it personally” is my go to. Works like a charm.
Makes them feel clingy and lets them know you got a rotation covertly. Frame grab.

It might just be me but I love leaning into the worst possible responses because it really gets them going. I'd respond with "You know what you did." and allude to something horrible without telling her what it is or "I just can't stand you"
