Hey all it’s been a second since I’ve asked for help, so let me know if this is still a correct format.

Recently I broke up with my gf while a friend of mine I’ve known for about a year, broke up with her boyfriend. We got together and talked and everything went really well up to this point. We talked a lot about life and our situations are parallel with a toxic ex. The sex was great, we both had a lot of fun. We even think and act similarly when it comes to how we treat people.

All of that said, recently I think we’re waining a bit. I’m seeing subtle signs of burnout here and there, even though she swears she could spend weeks at a time attached at the hip (I’ve heard that before.) But I’ve had issues in the past with keeping girls attention. Her ex showed up at her work with a drink unannounced and is trying to get back with her .. I think? I overheard him say they weren’t going to be an option ever again, but gift giving makes it feel like he’s not done. I see this guy as a very charismatic and socially adept person who knows what he wants and how to get it.

My question is. How can I win if I need to? I like this girl and she plays off that life sucked so bad with this man.

But I’m anxious, I lack a lot of confidence, skill with people and I’m easily spooked by how natural it comes to other guys. Learning seduction has helped me lose a good portion of my insecurities, but they still come through here and there. The majority of what I do right now is work, and my bank account doesn’t show it. I think my looks do the majority of the work when it comes to my game. I’m fit, tall, with blue eyes, and several of my friends have clarified “I look better than my current”opponent, but he’s just so damn good.

Is it a lost cause? What can I do specifically to tilt things in my favor or toward a relationship with this girl? Any confidence boosters I can find in myself to remain stoic if things don’t go as planned?

Time is of the essence. I’m in the middle of the situation I just described and could really use the help. Lmk what yall think.
