If it wasn't a shit test, you turned it into one, by failing it. You have to be nonreactive. The "introduce me" line is nonreactive but still takes control of the interaction.

I go by the rule of: if she's interested in you she will always come back.

Now this isn't without some exceptions. If it looks like the guy has some game, I always try to get back into the set before he can make any impact.

The thing with this is that 9/10 guys probably won't be able to do so.

Initially playing it cool does give off the IDGAF vibe. But, you can lose women to those that are simply better than you.

What happened after this? The answer would shed light on whether your reaction to what happened had a truly negative impact on your progression with that girl.

That said, I've been in your shoes before and it definitely can rattle your state, to say the least, when some guy comes up and makes such an impact on a girl you feel you're making progress with. However, regardless of what happens, an experience like this can be a REALLY valuable reference experience because dealing with head-on competition without losing state or wilting, is more possible after you've been put to the test like this. Each time you're challenged like this, you have the chance to learn how to deal better with such situations in the future.

But yeah, sometimes the learning process sucks.

She came back to you, and it sounds like your aren't exclusively dating so she was probably just keeping her options open, hopefully just like you.
