I've slowly been getting better about approaching but Daygame terrifies me. There are probably 3 reasons. 1) Fear of failure/rejection 2) Fear of embarrassment and being uncomfortable approaching/picking up women in public around other people. 3) Becoming known as "that guy"

I obviously have to just get over the first one. Would appreciate some advice on #2 and #3 (they're related in a sense). When I go out on the weekends it's almost always the same club because my friends and I know a lot of people that work there. Hence, it's also a place that's always flooded with familiar faces and people who know me. I've run game there on several occasions and apparently I've developed a reputation as a "player" among these people. I went out on a date this week and the girl (who I met at a party through mutual friends) mentioned that she heard I was player. When I asked her who she heard that from, she literally said "Everyone."

Is this as simple as not giving a shit about what other people think and just doing me? Should I try to go to different bars and consider going out solo from now on?

4) A friend of mine shared an interesting philosophy with me and I was wondering what you guys would think of it. I don't know if he actually applies this but the idea is when you approach/meet a girl you don't offer your name unless she specifically asks you for it. The idea being that if she has any interest in you at all she would want to know your name. Thoughts?

5) I'm having a lot of confusion regarding the way I should be acting and the mentality I should have. I think this is stemming from the idea of qualification. There seems to be this idea that feigning some level of disinterest helps make a girl qualify herself to you, because she's used to guys hitting on her and ogling over her all the time and so she gets curious when you don't seem to be trying to get in her pants. I've also heard that although negging is considered outdated, it CAN still be used effectively to disqualify yourself and make her qualify herself.

With all that said, are you NOT supposed to compliment women and appear overly interested? Is the idea to "be cool" and make them curious and interested in you? One opener I see used very often is the classic "Hey, I know this is random but I saw you and thought you were beautiful, so I had to come say hi." Is this counterproductive since you're complimenting her and lowering your value right off the bat (by raising her value)?
