So, about 5 months ago, I hung out with this girl and her friend. I hit it off with the girl and we made out. However, by the end of the night, everyone (myself, my buddy, the girl and her friend) was absolutely wasted and we kind of just called it a night. It was a lot of fun!

I ended up getting her number, which I didn't remember getting and I never hit her up. Nothing against her, I just didn't feel like it.

Well, I saw her again recently, like last weekend. It was for my best friend's party and God Damn she was looking great. I wish I talked to her but I didn't. I don't know if it was nerves or what. I bitched out. At this point, I no longer had her # because I had to get a new phone and I didn't have my contacts backed up or anything. At the end of the night, I was feeling full of regret for not having spoken to her. My friend told me that she apparently brought me up in conversation.

Anyway, I decided to add her on Facebook... I added her and sent her a message the next day. Well, she has responded saying "Hi!" and now I don't know how to proceed. I want to just ask her out but we haven't actually talked in almost 5 months and I feel like it could get weird if I just flat out ask her on a date.

My first instinct is to just talk with her about whatever and create the comfort factor BUT, I know it's a common theme here that texting is for setting the date, not for creating comfort.

What do I do here?
