Reading Mark Manson's 'Models' - Helped me realise women don't like 'nice guys' and that I shouldn't expect women to sleep with me just because I'm nice to them.

Opening every single tinder match - For someone that never spoke to women, any practice was good practice.

Meditating - Makes me less self-concious and helps me live more in the moment, I highly recommend Sam Harris' 'Waking Up'.

Mark Manson's 'Fearless Dating' course - While I don't agree with everything he mentions, particularly the idea that you need to move out of your parents place (Sidenote: Depending on where you live this could quite possibly be financial suicide), he breaks down cold approaching into easy to manage and quantifiable steps, starting from asking someone how there day is and escalating from there.

you never really become alpha, you just learn to minimize your beta tendencies. alpha types are born with it. doesn't mean though you can't learn some of their techniques
