I just thought this one up while reading some of Mystery's stuff. It's an expansion on his "thumb wrestle just because it's fun and different" idea. Hasn't been field tested, since I thought it up like 10 minutes ago while eating sushi.

The idea here is that it's a combination of extended kino and some negs - as well as some humor to keep her from getting uncomfortable.

put your right hand out with your palm facing to the left

"Put your right hand out like this."

(If she hesitates, neg her by telling her that her left hand makes the L shape and make the L shape with your hands briefly.)

when she puts her hand out, grab her wrist and put her hand into yours - wrapping your fingers together in proper thumb wrestling position

"On a scale of 1 to 11, how good would you say your are at thumb wrestling?"

(If she says a high number with a cocky attitude, take that as an IOI since she's playing along. If she says a low number with a laugh, neg/DHV her with "Oh, I'm sure you're better than that. My niece is a 3 and she's only 8 years old.")

"We should make this interesting. If I win, you have to buy me a drink. If you win, I'll let you buy me a drink. Sound good?"

(She should say no, or tell you to buy her a drink, or something similar.)

as you're saying the next bit, subtly make sure that your thumb is on top of hers

"Despite what you may have seen on TV, being a thumb wrestling champion isn't as glamorous as you'd think. Basically, the only perks are getting pretty girls in silly (shoes/shirts/pants/hats/rings/necklaces... whatever the most peacocking item she's wearing is) to buy me drinks. smile It doesn't really even matter, because I've already won."

As soon as you say the words "already won", look down at your thumb and gently but noticeably squeeze down on her thumb. As soon as she glances down, break contact and celebrate your victory. Say something like "Still the champ!" High five the total stranger next to you (for a bit of social proof) and then high five her (for a little more playful kino) with a big smile on your face.

"Well, you clearly professional thumb wrestling isn't in your future. What can you do well?"

from there, make her qualify herself to you

What do you guys think?
