All right, my friend, M, met this girl through a class and she talked me up to this girl K. K and I met a few weeks ago at a show and then afterwards we all hung out and talked. Well the talk digressed to sex and relationship and there were 5 people here talking and such. The conversation basically led up to my friend M suggesting we hook up. Since we're both single and in dry spells.
I asked her to a concert over facebook that weekend but she went out of town. Said it was nice meeting everybody that night. End of that.
So a few days ago I ask her out to brunch, she later responds saying she's free. But I'm not getting that she's too into it, saying she's busy but caaaaan on Sunday. So I responded okay sunday.
I feel like I've put her in a situation she doesn't want to say no to out of respect for a mutual friend.
Now since all this transpired, M said we should all have another pot luck tomorrow. Here's the thing. Should I go? Should I wait to hear back from K before going to the pot luck? Would it be weird to go to the pot luck tomorrow and then go on the brunch date is what I'm asking.
Here's the thing, we didn't have any 1 on 1 time when we first met, the pot luck will be the second time hanging out. I'm thinking that asking her out via facebook came off beta as fuck. I know it seems like I'm stressing over this, but I have my cool. I just don't want to come off wrong is all. I know I'll be cool at the date, there's a nice lake/park across the street from the place I picked at. Real nice place.
I just want to know what's kosher on situations like this. And yeah, she's from out of town and probably leaving for the summer when the semester's over, in two weeks.
