Ok so heres a little field report that covers 3 sets that I did tonight in Austin. By no means is this anything crazy but I figure some people would appreciate some basic stuff from a guy who really ain't that good at this shit.

Race: African American

Height: 5'7

The night started off after me and 2 friends finished up at an event that was occurring in town. We had already gone to two bars and I had said that I planned on spitting some game but I failed to do that at the first two bars so I knew I had to make something happen so I didn't look like a bitch.

The first set occurred at a club on 6th that I had never been to before. It turned out to be a little more upper class that anticipated and my two friends and I weren't really dressed the part but they let us in so whatever. Homie #1 has good game but wasn't feeling it tonight and Homie #2 was super shy and wasn't talking to anyone (he's tall white and good looking too lol). I was feeling a little hesitant so I told homie #1 to pick out sets for me so I didn't have to stress about choosing.

Set 1: He picks out a group of two chicks with one short blonde (my target) and one tall blonde. I walk up and had no idea what to say but I noticed they both look kinda similar so say that I didn't know twins could be different heights. Sounds dumb but they both laugh and smile so I introduce myself and we start talking. I really don't know what I said I just kept saying statements and shit to the short blonde when I notice homie #1 come up and try and talk to the tall blonde. Before I can introduce he immediately gets shot down by her and walks away lol. Me and short blonde are talking for like 10 minutes I'm trying to escalate physically but shit ain't really happening so I grab her number and bail from the set. (I know I should stay till I'm kinda forced to leave but whatever)

Set 2: We move to a different bar on 6th cause it's more my vibe and my homie (#1) picks out a set of two brunette chicks (they will be B1 and B2) standing at the bar. I Immediately approach and again I don't know what to say again so I open with a similar line to what I said in the first set "damn, y'all must be twins". This was dumb cause they don't look anything alike lmao they say "wtf we don't even look alike" but I push through saying that "the only difference is that one of y'all is wearing glasses and the other isn't" sounds dumb I know but they laugh and ask me my name and shit. This set was a lot of fun they were both really cool and flirty. B2 leaves for a sec so I decide to try and put the moves on B1 were both holding each other and our faces are close so I go for the kiss and she turns me down saying she has a boyfriend... fuck. But then she says that B2 is with a guy but its not that serious (he's not at that bar tho) so when B2 comes back I start making moves on her and she super receptive. we start making out for a bit when she stops me and says that she actually into the guy she's dating right now and doesn't want to fuck it up. We talk and make out a bit more, I get her number and then regroup with the homies.

Set 3: At this point I'm feeling pretty good and I want to get my friends involved so I go up to them and tell them that we're doing the next set together. We find a group were about to go approach and then I look to my right and notice a cute blonde looking at me from like 10 feet away. Without saying a word to my homies I immediately approach the cute blonde. I couldn't think of shit to open with so I just say "hey you seem chill and I wanted to meet you" she tells me her name and we shake hands. While were shaking hands I notice she has long as nails so I say the dumbest shit ever "damn you're like a vampire with these long ass nails I hope you don't stab me with me with them" I have no idea why I said this, it don't make any sense lmao. She gives me the craziest look and says "umm no why would you think that". I almost exit the set cause I'm so embarrassed but instead I change the subject to some random shit. I guess it works cause her and I start talking and flirting for like 20 minutes. She was chill turns out she's from the east coast and was visiting some friends. I'm putting moves on her and she's pretty cool with it till I go for the kiss which is where she tells me she has a bf lol. I tell her I don't want to be a home wrecker so i leave the set, but she actually comes back up to me later and tries to talk and flirt more so I go for it again and she turns me down again. I'm like yo quit teasing me and she apologizes and says that she knows I'll pull some girl tonight and that she's rooting for me lol. My ego enjoyed her saying that but I didn't pull anyone so idk lol.

There were more sets but most weren't that good or were just me socializing to stay in the right mood so I didn't include them.

Lessons: Just fucking go say something literally anything is better than nothing, also try not to think too hard about what's going on. Just stay in the moment and vibe. You're gonna fuck up quite a bit but once you get in the groove it'll start coming together.
