I've been a long time lurker of seddit, and have posted a few questions and such in askseddit. But tonight I finally feel like I have broken out and actually started practicing in the field as opposed to reading and learning which I have been doing for a while. Please bear with me as I am not completely sober right now but I am trying to write it all down before I forget any important details.

So I started the day off in a pretty upbeat mood. I was feeling good and such and decided that today was the day to break out of my comfort zone. Unfortunately I wasn't able to do so during the day. I was hoping to try some cold approaches and day game, but w/e no regrets no point in worrying about the past right?

So fast forward to tonight. I Hit up some friends to go out and play some beer pong at the weekly tourney at the local bar in CP, Looney's for any locals. It's free to enter and there is a tab as a prize so why not? I invite along two of my best friends since forever and this girl I'm pretty into but also in the friendzone w/ but that's a whole other story all together. We'll call her HB8 for now.

So we play some beer pong for a while but we lose pretty fast my partner kind of sucked but I could care less about beer pong. I honestly think it's boring, but it's a good excuse to go out and have fun on a Wed night. My two friends aren't super outgoing but I don't let that ruin my night. I decide that I'm going to try and open some sets.

SET 1 (sorry idk how to bold text when drunk) So I see three girls standing near the bar. I've been reading Mark manson's models recently and I specifically remember the party about being honest and true to yourself. I notice the one girl had on this dress that was pink and patterned w/ flamingos. I'm sure it was probably ugly as hell, but honestly I thought it was cool so I decided to go up and compliment her on it. I go up on the left side of her and put my hand on her shoulder to try and initiate some kino early. I tell her I like her dress because of the flamingo print. She was super receptive and we start talking about college, degrees, where she lives, etc. Kind o interviewy for my liking but w/e it's a start I guess. It's going well and we are talking. Btw she is with two others girls I notices. One is HB8 and HB5. So I'm talking to flamingo girl (HB6.5) for a bit and things are going well, I'm initiating kino, flirting (hand on her shoulder and lower back, leaning in close to hear her better in the loud bar). Then I realize I'm completely ignoring her friends so I introduce myself to her friends and involve them in the conversation.

I ask them similar interview type questions and such about college and use the same type of kino as I did with flamingo. Meanwhile I notice a guy has come up and is now holding hands with flamingo while I'm talking to the other girls. No big deal, I introduce myself to him and I assume he is her SO so I don't pursue flamingo any further. Then at some point another guy comes up to HB8 and I can't remember if they were also holding hands or he was just really close to her, but the vibe I got was that they were also together. So I focus my conversation on HB5 just for practice and to get some new friends/acquaintances. At some point I notice she isn't feeling it anymore so I find a good time to eject and hang out with one of my friends right next to her at the bar.

SET 2? After that I was hanging around and I saw this really cute girl watching the beer pong tourney going on. I told my friend I was going to approach her and he was all like w/e dude sure you are. So I did, like any honey badger would do. I walked up, put a hand on her shoulder and said something about how her beer pong form was really good and she should teach me her form. She didn't hear it well and misconstrued it to be something about porn. So I began to banter about me doing porn with her for a bit. I remember telling her she was good in her films, but her acting needed some work. We kept talking back and forth and at one point she grabbed my collar and pulled me in to whisper in my ear. I took this as an IOI and pulled back and went for the kiss. She pulled away. But IDGAF you miss 100% of the shots you never take right? then she stood up and filmed her friends playing beer pong for a few at which point I realized she was pretty wasted and didn't want to pursue her any further.

I did this whole thing while this girl who I still have feelings for was there (slash who I'm friendzoned with). It was hard seeing her getting hit on by other guys, but I guess I'll have to get over it or stop being friends w/ her. This isn't really important, just myself rambling.

Anyways: Take aways: -With that first set, at some point I noticed I was teasing them too much about their major, and I came off as more of a dick instead of playful and teasing. I really need to work on that balance between flirting and being a dick -flamingo girl it seemed was pretty obviously involved with a SO but the cute HB8 might not have been with the other guy, he could have just been protective. Probably should have tried to befriend him to see what his deal was. -Kino is super easy to do in bars/loud scenarios, and it's easy to tell when you are no longer welcome -most importantly, walking up to random groups of people is a lot easier that I made it out to be in my head. I could for sure do this sober if I just remember these lessons I've learned.

Please give me any helpful feedback, advice, criticism, etc. I plan to keep posting FR's no matter how much of a failure they are or how insignificant. Hopefully you guys can watch me improve over time and learn from my mistakes.
