I’ll explain it in more simple terms since your skull is clearly filled with boogers and tic tacs. He compared woman having their subway car to apartheid South Africa. I told him that I hope he could have experienced life as a black person in apartheid South Africa, so he can see how much of a stretch his comment was.

Fucking please. I hope you live in a white supremacist society in your next life, so you can understand how ridiculous of a statement you made.

Ok. Well in the real world, problems require solutions. The current solution we have works a lot better then “hmm I don’t like it”

What is your solution to stop sexual assault on trains and how is it better then providing women a safe space?

Reading the posts on the feminist sub is probably the worst thing you can do. The content is meant for feminists. Not you. Obviously it doesn’t fit well with you. I’m intentionally not citing any studies, because I’ve been in enough political arguments, and changed my view enough of the time to know that you can’t rely on facts to change someone’s mind, because it won’t, and changing their mind isn’t the goal. The goal is to just make them think about why they believe stuff and why people believ…

Lmao, I knew saying that quote would get you to think it applied to MRAs. It’s getting late, and we probably aren’t getting anywhere. I do disagree with the notion women are more privileged, evidently. There is a surprising amount of overlap between MRA and feminism. I hope we can work together for things we both agree on, at the very least. Respectfully, look at things from the other side. That how I got here. That’s why I’m subbed in the first place. And I know multiple straight white men like…

I’m subscribed to this subreddit because I used to be quite anti feminist. I’m a man. Do you really think in all my years on earth, I’ve never once thought about this stuff? I have. A lot. I listened to the arguments from the feminists side, and it convinced me, enough to change my mind. Not all at once, but it still happened. A lot of the data posted here is misleading, or more often, outdated. Especially true for figureheads in the anti feminist movement outside this sub. It’s also a movement …

As a white male, in a country with no ethnic majority, I’m hardly worried about how nazis will effect me personally. I won’t try to convince you of anything, you’re clearly destined to be convicted of homicide. But to everyone possibly scrolling by, this person wants nationalistic movements to purge populations of dissidents. They consider these people no longer human, and utterly irredeemable. Read between the lines. This is a violent purge, of not only SJWs but ethnic minorities as well. If th…

Like I said in the post, the pay gap of 25% is discredited. The pay gap of 6% is not. Do you honestly think the people researching these things never considered simple facts like men and women making different choices?

The whole point of feminism and my being here is that women aren’t the privileged group. If you disagree, there’s honestly nothing we can do for each other. When you’re used to privilege, equality feels like oppression.

You don’t understand the difference between legal autonomy of your own body, and paying child support? I want you to think about why men can’t opt out of children, yet women can. There are a couple of vital differences between the two sexes, relating to pregnancy mostly. You, like a lot of people seem to be missing the point of feminism and why it’s called “feminism” in the first place. They push for rights for women because they had less rights. Legally, in 2019, that’s no longer true. I’ll rem…

Ok good, I am glad that you had an actual point. Let’s assume all of those things are true, and ignore the reasons behind it. Women do better in education even in Iran, where they are obviously less equal. I’m sure I could pick these apart if wanted to, but it doesn’t really matter. You’ve given some good examples of things women do better in then men, but remember that there are a hundred metrics you didn’t include, such as likelihood to be sexually assaulted. Both men and women, whites and bla…

Oh so like whites are privileged because they experience things like shorter criminals sentences, Yes? bias in their favor in education Yes? face less violence from police Yes? are less likely to be the victims of violent crimes? Yes? and society cares more when they suffer? Yes? I really hope you’re gonna have a “gotcha” moment next, otherwise this is a weird comment.

The difference is a privileged group vs one less privileged. You could have said the same thing for “we don’t need men’s rights...” and have had a more relevant example. Coming from the position that women hold the more powerful role in society, your analogy to white nationalism makes perfect sense. But I don’t come from the position. So a relevant example is “we don’t need Kurdish nationalism...” (copied from another reply that made the same point)
/r/MensRights17/12/19 01:07 PM
3

To repeat my first point, the fact there are people who wish to take away those rights is evidence that social equality hasn’t been achieved. As an example, restriction of abortion or just your sexist uncle who doesn’t like his female mechanic. True social equality will never be achieved, and that is why the push for it should never stop, because to stop means that the existing equality will slowly be eroded back again. It’s a two way battle. I also disagree with your view that the “patriarchy” …

Social equality isn’t communism, that’s economic equality. By social equality, I simply mean in the eyes of the public, people are equal. If no one is racist, then the races would be socially equal, as an example. The idea that people aren’t entitled to respects and rights only works to benefit the most privileged of society, who has that by default. As a functional society, we can pretend that people are entitled to certain things, such as not being murdered, to benefit those not strong enough …

Again, the fact you think that is the reason feminism is needed, because so many people still don’t get it. Legal equality is important, but so is social equality, as it feeds into what the law is, such as criminalising abortion.
/r/MensRights17/12/19 12:11 PM

“We don’t need feminism because it causes people to hate women” is probably the best example of why we need feminism. As long as someone wants to take your rights away, you shouldn’t stop fighting for those rights.

There’s like 7 cases of it happening. It’s such a non issue that I don’t know why anyone has fallen for it. It is a civil rights violation. We have a right to vote. That right should never be taken away. Unless you’re literally in prison for life plus 40.

I'm not saying it isn't biased against men, but it isn't as biased as MRAs like to suggest. Also often the dad just walks out. A disparity doesn't equal discrimination, like with the wage gap.
/r/MensRights27/08/19 11:00 AM
-11

I can’t remember specifically what the numbers are, but at the very least, women taking sole custody happens in a small minority of cases. Many times, the courts aren’t even involved. Women do avoid child support payments more then men. So you have that I guess.
/r/MensRights27/08/19 09:51 AM
-15

The custody one is inaccurate, it’s much more common for custody to be split 50/50 now, and the figure includes outdated cases. It’s biased against men, but it used to be a lot worse.

It’s an order of magnitude compared to a lot of other countries. Even in Syria, 95% of people didn’t get shot. 1% of the country actually took up arms. Just because it isn’t the leading cause of death doesn’t make it not a massive crisis. The US has more then twice the murders that China has, despite having a billion less people.
